Suncheon City becomes a foundation member of The IFPRA KOREA


국제 공원 및 레크레이션 행정연맹(IFPRA) 한국위원회 창립총회’가 2월 26일 서울에서 지자체와 공공기관, 다분야의 전문가, 언론인 등 200여명이 참석한 가운데 개최됐다.
On Feb. 26, 2010, a foundation conference of the IFPRA KOREA was held. Around 200 people, including local governments, mayors, media, and individuals attended.

IFPRA는 공원과 레크리에이션, 시설, 여가 등 공원 관련 서비스 문화를 만들어 가기위해 설립된 국제 단체이다.
The IFPRA is an international organization that represents parks, recreation, amenity, leisure and related services.

순천시는 정원박람회 사후 관리를 잘 하기 위한 준비절차로서 IFPRA 한국위원회의 회원으로 가입 이 행사에 참가하였다.
Suncheon city participated at the Korea IFPRA as one of the members, for the purpose of gaining information on how to be highly successful in preparing the International Garden Expo Suncheon Bay Korea 2013.

또한, 순천시는 ‘정원’, ‘녹색성장’, ‘시설‘ 단체인 IFRA에 참가하여 2013순천만국제정원박람회의 사후관리 준비에 박차를 가할 예정이다.
The participation in Korea of the IFPRA is to be a further spur to ensure effective management of the venue after the Garden Expo is completed.

Foreign Ambassadors and Korean Tourism Promoters visited Suncheon Bay


On February 20, 2010, tourism specialists, and public promoters from the Korean Tourist Services, as well as foreign ambassadors visited Suncheon to observe some tourist attractions in and around Suncheon. They also visited Suncheon Bay, which is the site where the International Suncheon Bay Garden Expo 2013 will take place.

The total number of visitors was 100, and amongst them were about 40 ambassadors.

The first day of a two-day visit, was spend at Suncheon Bay. On the second day, they went to The Nagan Folk Village, a Green Tea drinking house, and Seonam temple.

All visiting members admired the beauty of Suncheon and expressed various opinions and ways to attract more foreign tourists to the area. They also expressed ideas about raising a National as well as International brand awareness of Suncheon and Suncheon Bay.
